Winter Proof Your Roof

Winter Proof Your Roof

The move to colder temperatures, snow or ice can take a toll on the life of your roof.

Did you know there are ways you can protect your roof from winter’s chill? There are! Here are a few ways you can protect the investment in your roof and help it to withstand the change in seasons.

The most important first step is to schedule a roof inspection to be sure it is ready to go into the season capable of withstanding wind and moisture. The experts at Phoenix Roofing can provide a thorough inspection and make recommendations as needed. It would be best that any repairs that may need to be performed would take place before the worst of winter sets in.

It’s also important to make sure your roof is free of debris such as leaves or limbs. Debris could trap moisture and fill your gutters leading to potential water damage. Debris removal is another service that Phoenix Roofing can provide in a safe and effective way.

Do a walk around your property and look for any overhanging tree branches that extend over your roof line. Winter storms could potentially knock these branches down and the force could damage your roof. Remember your roof is the first line of defense for your home.

Lastly, don’t wait for Santa to check out your chimney. Chimneys can be a site of potential roofing damage through cracks or deterioration. A full roofing inspection will be sure to include the area around the chimney and repair any damage that may lead to moisture leaking into your home.

With a well inspected and cared for roof, you can enjoy the winter weather indoors knowing that your home is protected. Contact the roofing experts at Phoenix Roofing today to set up your inspection today!

Roof Inspection

When Should I Get A Roof Inspection?

A free service that can save you money in costly repairs? Sounds too good to be true! Not with Phoenix Roofing!

Phoenix Roofing offers free physical hands-on roof inpections to determine the state of your roof and if any repair work is necessary. Following the inspection they provided a detailed report as well as recommendations and insurance options.

For free.

So when and why would you need a roof inspection?

It’s a good idea to get your roof inspected before you sell your home (or buy another), following a high wind weather event, hail storms, or anytime you can visibly see something different about your roof.

Finding roof damage before it becomes a larger problem is the key to saving you time and money. Wind or hail damage can lead to leaks or water damage which can create problems with mold and mildew. Missing or loose roof shingles can significantly weaken your home’s protective exterior.

Even if there hasn’t been any significant wind storms or reason to suspect damage, you should have your roof inspected at least once a year – potentially more depending on the age of your roof. Temperature and seasonal changes can take a toll on your roof and it’s important to keep up with the wear and tear mother nature can cause.

The experts at Phoenix Roofing know what they are looking for and provide detailed, thorough inspections free of charge. Contact them today to get your roof inspection scheduled and make sure your home is protected!

IKO Architectural Roofing Shingles

Phoenix Roofing offers top quality IKO architectural roofing shingles. Great right? Well what does that mean? Here is a little background on why we chose those particular shingles.

Architectural shingles are an alternative to traditional 3-tab shingles. They are one of the highest quality roofing materials on the market. Architectural shingles are made up of a fiberglass base and a ceramic coating. They are a high performance option that requires little maintenance over time. The look of architectural shingles offers greater versatility in size, shape and color – boosting your home’s curb appeal!

IKO shingles are engineered to resist high winds and extreme weather events. They have a standard asphalt coating embedded with algae-resistant granules. These granules help prevent discoloration and streaking. They are also available in a large variety of color options to match the look you want for your home.

IKO offers a unique ROOFViewer tool that lets you upload a photo of your home to their website so you can see what color shingles would look best! Visit them at www.IKO.com to try it out!

Phoenix Roofing has found the architectural shingles from IKO provide maximum weather protection and enhance the overall look of your home. We can provide these shingles in new roofing construction or repair work.
